As Christmas approaches, we are all preparing our hearts to celebrate the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ. God sent Jesus into the world to be the perfect sacrifice for our sins, to bring us peace with God, and to give eternal life to all who put their faith in him.
As this Christmas approaches, I am preparing to take this message of good news halfway around the world, to Southeast Asia. From December 27 - January 8, I will be on a mission trip with three other men from the Triad area. We will be teaching new believers, training local pastors, and sharing the gospel in homes. The country we will be in is nearly 90% Buddhist, and we will have the opportunity to share Christ with many people who have never heard the gospel.
Here is a brief summary of what we will be doing so that you will know how to pray for us.
- 2 day seminar for a group of 50-60 new believers to grow in their faith and understanding of God’s Word
- 3 day training for 30-40 pastors from around Myanmar to equip them and support them in their ministry
- In-home evangelism with families who have expressed a desire to hear about Jesus
I would like to thank you all for giving me the opportunity to do this work. The cost of the trip has been covered, in part due to the generosity of members of our church, so we are not in need of any more funds. I would like to ask you to support us with your prayers for us and for all the people we will come into contact with during our trip.
